As the year comes to a close and 2020 is knocking at the door, it’s time to get ready for the new year. Once September comes, I officially start my new year plans and goals. This may be on paper or electronic although writing them down with pen and paper is my favorite for a few reasons:
1. Something about writing the old fashion ways eludes commitment and confidence for me
2. Posting goals where I can look at them every morning gets me motivated for the day
3. I usually create kind of a mood board with pictures for visual appeal. I am a very visual person so anything appealing to my eyes grabs my attention.
Even though I do yearly goals, I also have daily, weekly and monthly goals I thrive to achieve. Since I am growing a small business, most of my goals are centered around that. However, my health and well being is just as important. Meal planning, exercise, household chores and hair treatments. It may seem a bit extreme but before I started scheduling, things were put off until the last minute. I decided to use my scheduling procedures with every day activities. It has been working great so far….
Do you have a specific way to plan your day, week, month and year? If so, how has it worked for you?
